Buoy CHAMP is a Minimum Essential Coverage plan offered under a Section 125 arrangement. It is not major medical coverage and it is not a replacement for a major medical plan.
It is designed to provide practical everyday healthcare access, and it can operate alongside your existing major medical coverage or on its own.

Full-time employees enrolled in Buoy CHAMP will either have no net cost for the plan or see a slight increase in their take-home pay due to their participation.
Employees can confidently and consistently use Buoy CHAMP since there are no copays or deductibles. This leads to less missed work due to illness and helps prevent the spread of sickness in the workplace, keeping your team healthier and more productive.
Your Buoy CHAMP plan includes Harbor Shield. It provides IRS audit defense support tied to your Section 125 benefit structure for the plan year, including applicable pre-tax benefits within that structure. There is no added cost to the employer; it is funded through the plan.
Plan protections exist inside the plan — employer Section 125 exposure is separate. That is the gap Harbor Shield closes. If the IRS raises a question, you are matched with vetted tax attorneys and defense services and covered legal costs apply up to stated limits.
Attorneys are independent; you retain them directly, preserving attorney-client privilege. Harbor Shield is not a law firm.
